Welcome!
Enjoy listening to Jazz and Blues? Then you might like to try the Wollaton u3a Jazz and Blues Group. We meet monthly, on the third Tuesday of the month at Grangewood Methodist Church.
We are an enthusiastic, eclectic bunch, with differing tastes, but with a keen interest in learning about the wide range of music that is covered by the ‘Jazz and Blues’ label.
We would welcome new members, so come along and sample a wide range of music. The sessions consist of listening to music, discussion and a coffee break, as well as a chance to check on what live music events are coming up locally.
A recent trip to see the Mark Harrison Band at Peggy’s Skylight was a great success and we hope to repeat this soon. Six of us met on Sunday afternoon at 1.00pm to sample ‘Peggy’s’ wonderful Lebanese cuisine before listening to the band. It was all very relaxed and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We are having a break in August, so the next meeting will be September 15th. This will be a ‘pot luck’ session where you bring your own choice of CD/ Spotify to share with others.
